We're here to answer your questions and provide the best possible care for your child. 

 

We aim to provide a friendly and helpful environment where parents feel comfortable bringing their children and we always put seeing sick children, as our priority.

The Care of your child starts with a:

  • 2 week postnatal check up (free as part of shared antenatal care, once contract signed)
  • 6 week developmental check up  (free as part of shared antenatal care, once contract signed)

Childhood Vaccinations

Please visit www.immunisation.ie to see the most up to date immunisations schedule for your child (free)
General health care for children, which is free if they have signed up to an under 8 GP visit card card.

 

Under 8s GP visit card

If you have a child under 8, you can register for an under 8s GP visit card.

Our practice participates in the under 8 GP care scheme.

  • You can register for the scheme by going to www.GPvisitcard.ie
  • You will need your childs PPS number and PPS number for parent/guardian.
  • You can also register without your childs PPS number as soon as your baby is born by going to : https://www.sspcrs.ie/portal/free-gp-care-web/pub/ and you can bypass the request for your babys PPS number, the card you receive will be valid for 6 months only and when you get your childs PPS  number you can re apply before the 6 months are up, 
  • Please be aware that free GP care cannot be provided until you have a valid under 8 GP visit card number, if you have not applied for the card after your childs 6 week check up GP visits will be charged at the normal rate.
    The under 8s GP visit card covers GP visits and care for children with asthma.
  • Registration:  Your child will be registered  XXXXXXXfor the Under 8s GP Visit Card with the practice. 
  • Asthma Cycle of Care:
    • Initial Check: When diagnosed (if over 2), covering symptoms, medication review, and inhaler technique.
    • Follow-up: Another check 3 months after diagnosis.
    • Annual Reviews: Yearly checks until the child turns 8.
  • Asthma Action Plan: A written plan is provided to help manage your child's asthma.

If your family have a medical card your baby can be added to the family card. Just let us know and we can do it for you.
