We are delighted to welcome you to the new Rathdrum Medical Practice website. We have designed our website to make it easier for you to find information about the practice and the services we provide. You can order repeat prescriptions, access useful practice forms, contact forms to update personal details, requesting Doctors letters. You can also find helpful links to official application forms and other services.
About us
Dr. Sinead Sheehan founded the practice in 2008. Based in the heart of Rathdrum, our practice offers high-quality, patient-centred medical care. Our experienced clinical team are here to support your lifelong wellbeing.
We focus on accessibility, timely care, and clear communication to ensure you and your family receive the finest healthcare we can offer.
The practice is a teaching practice. This means we get allocated a fully qualified Doctor each year, who wishes to specialise in General Practice, from the Trinity College Training Scheme. We feel very fortunate to have been approved to be involved in training the doctors of the future and find it an invaluable way of staying in touch, with the advances in medicine.
OUR LATEST NEWS
We are currently running Flu/Covid vaccine clinics now every Friday afternoon for the next few weeks. We will contact you by phone/ text to make an appointment. At present we are only vaccinating over 65's and we will update this page when we know delivery dates for the under 65's and childrens nasal flu vaccines
NEW PATIENTS
Applications to join the practice will only be accepted on the first working day of the month, as we do not have the resources to review outside this time. Applications will be accepted depending on availability and practice capacity and will vary monthly. This is to ensure patient safety and maintain a high standard of care, to our currently registered patients.
OUR MASK POLICY
To protect other patients in the waiting room and our staff, please ensure to wear a mask if you have any respiratory symptoms when attending the practice.
