Before requesting a repeat prescription, please ensure that you are familiar with our practice policies. We will only process requests for medications that have been previously prescribed . If you require a new medication or a change to your existing prescription, please schedule an appointment with one of our GPs.Renewing your prescription with Rathdrum Medical Practice is streamlined for your convenience. You can order your prescription by emailing info@rathdrummedicalpractice.ie or fill out our online form Prescription request with your name, date of birth or address, and details of the medication(s) you require. We'll handle the rest.

It is important to note that prescriptions are typically issued during an in person consultation and a plan is put in place for repeat prescription requests. If you are taking medications that require blood test monitoring and or blood pressure monitoring and it has been more than six months since you have consulted with the Doctor we may advise you by SMS or email to book an appointment for a review in order for your prescription to be issued safely.

Please note that private prescription requests will incur a fee of €20 for prescription renewals. This service is free for medical card patients. Allow 72 hours for your prescription to be processed. We will contact you when it is sent to your nominated Pharmacy
